Artist's Statement

I am interested in the intersection of art and science communication, particularly issues around changing climate and its effects on beloved natural landscapes. My art depicts moments in time—whether painted en plein air or later from photos taken on my travels and outdoor adventures. I frequently return to the same favorite locations in the Southwest, through which the changing seasons and longer term trajectory of the landscape can be observed.

If you are interested in art for purchase, please reach out and ask! Some of it is in sketchbooks and therefore not available, but I'm happy to consider any options, including prints.
